Kings Landing Historical Settlement

An actual historical settlement where you will see everything done as it was 100 years ago.  Horse drawn wagons, cooking on the hearth, the general store, a stone house that was disassembled and moved to the present site, a functioning lumber mill run solely by a water wheel and an excellent eatery!

(Located on Trans Canada Highway north of Fredericton)

Irving Nature Park

A beautiful peninsula with miles of walking trails or roads if you prefer.  Rest areas are scattered throughout.  Some have barbecue pits for your convenience.  The scenery is so diverse it cannot be described in words.   This is a must see if you’re a nature lover!

Deer Island (20 min. free ferry ride)

Visit the world’s largest lobster pound and enjoy the unique fishing villages.  This island was granted to Thomas Farrell in the 1700’s by the King of England and has been handed down to his descendants.  The ferry ride is a pleasure in itself – the passage is dotted with tiny islands and you may even see seals.

(The ferry leaves every ½ hour from the mainland and the Island).  There is also a ferry from Deer Island to Eastport mid-June to mid-September leaving hourly from 9 am to 6 pm.  Fee is $10 for car & driver, $2 for each additional passenger to a maximum of $15.
